Timber Hills Condominiums

Monroe, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying completed the site design for a 76 unit condominium project consisting of grading, drainage, water, sewer, and soil erosion and sediment control.  The project required the design and construction of a stormwater detention pond to handle regional stormwater problems.

 

Lexington Meadows Condominiums

Chester, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying conducted an evaluation of site constraints, feasibility studies and a complete layout of municipal services for a 324 unit condominium project.  The project included the design and approval of groundwater wells, water storage and distribution, stormwater management, and preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).  This assignment required representation of the owner before local planning and regulatory authorities.

 

Windridge Condominiums

Chester, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying prepared plans and specifications, details, water and sewage collection, drainage reports, cost estimates, and quantities take-offs for a 120 unit condominium development.  We also provided expert testimony for grading issues at the site.

Burroughs Wellcome

Research Triangle Park, NC

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying designed all of the site improvements for the North Office Building, including the complete design of 340 x 160 foot reflecting pool, parking, and truck loading docks.  We worked with facility management to coordinate construction with all site activities and provided grading, stormwater pipe layout, soil erosion and sediment control and retaining wall design.  In addition, a 340 x 160 foot reflecting pool was completely detailed.

 

Sterling Forest Fire Company

Tuxedo, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying prepared plans and specifications for a 3,000 SF addition to the existing fire house.  Because this was a volunteer fire company, access onto a county road was very important.  In designing the grading, we optimized the response time of the fire department.

American Matsushita Electronics Corporation

Troy, OH

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying, worked with Kajima International, Inc. and Obayashi Corporation under a design/build contract for a 450,000 SF addition to the existing 500,000 SF production facility used for the manufacturing of television picture tubes.  In addition to the main building, additions to the powerhouse and waste treatment building were constructed. 

The specific assignment was to provide access and parking for 350 employees and 52 raised-dock tractor trailer berths, including all utility interconnects, site work permits, stormwater management calculations, landscaping, and post-contract support.  This was a fast-track project that started detailed design on June 1, 1995 with finished tubes manufactured June 1, 1996.

 

United States Post Office, General Mail Facility 189/190

Philadelphia, PA

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying prepared the pre-concept design package for a design/build contract to construct a 770,000 SF mail processing and distribution center in Philadelphia, PA.  Our main objective was to ascertain available utilities, review zoning and covenants, and to provide preliminary site plan and stormwater management design.  The site consisted of 70 acres with employee parking for 1,200, staging for 130 trucks, and 120 truck docks.

Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc.

City of Newburgh, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying, PC was retained to provide engineering services for a Land Use Application for the new 10,500 SF Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc. building in the City of Newburgh, along with site engineering, SEQRA review and construction support.

Math & Science Library, SUNY University

Albany, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying worked in conjunction with Ray Gomez Architects & Planners to provide site engineering and construction document support for a new math and science library on New Yorkcollege campus. 

 

United Hospice of Rockland County

Clarkstown, NY

MJS Engineering & Land Surveying worked in conjunction with Machado Architectural Grou[ to provide engineering and land surveying services to create a full site plan and pursue land use approvals from the Town of Clarkston Planning Board for a new 10,000 SF hospice facility.  This project included parking, utility connections and stormwater controls.
